Things have been busy since spring break and now the final term is well underway!
This week we will be having a look at the Grade 10 Literacy Assessment which you will complete next year. We will be getting familiar with the format so it's not a surprise next year, and generating writing samples for this course using the structure and content in the assessment. (The assessment is mandatory for graduation, and while the score doesn't affect your grade in your English classes, you are required to write the Grade 10 and 12 assessments.)
Over the coming weeks we will be analysing and creating various types of content found in media and building websites, among other things. Next week we will hopefully have a chance to get outside and write creatively in response to nature, but I'll let you know which day so you can be prepared!
