It is not possible to make up everything as many learning experiences in this course depend on in-class discussions, etc. However, all projects are designed so that you can complete them if you do certain elements. In-school observance of the Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Discuss the stories behind Orange Shirt Day (children's book versions of Phyllis's Orange Shirt and When I Was Eight). Reflective writing about what Truth & Reconciliation mean on a personal level.
Thursday:
National Day for Truth & Reconciliation - No classes, personal observation and remembrance
Friday:
Organize story materials into folders. Begin storyboards of entire book.
