It's been a busy time since spring break, and as the final term is well underway these are our current and upcoming tasks and projects.
- Children's Book Project: This has been the primary focus for awhile and we will be wrapping up next week. This means you should have your text spread out over the correct number of pages, your illustrations carefully completed (and coloured), your front and back covers complete, and your book bound in some way. We will not have any more class time after April 29, though you will have time next week to get these things done. If you need more time it will be up to you to take your work home and bring it back!
- Literacy Assessment: This is coming up next week so we will be using this week to prepare. This is a territorial assessment (also used in BC) that is mandatory for graduation, however the score you receive does not affect your grade. We will be writing it in class sometime next week but have not received our scheduled date yet. If you are away the day we write it, you will be writing it in a future session, possibly in grade 11. There is another assessment in grade 12 and both must be completed in order for you to graduate.
